What’s Covered in a Carpet Warranty?

Carpet warranties vary by brand and product line, but they typically cover:

Wear warranty – Protects against excessive fiber loss from normal foot traffic. Most warranties require that no more than 10% of fibers wear away over the coverage period.
Stain & soil warranty – Covers permanent stains from common household spills (food, beverages, pet accidents, etc.). Many carpets now feature pet-proof and spill-resistant technology.
Texture retention warranty – Ensures the carpet maintains its original appearance and doesn’t develop excessive matting or crushing under normal residential use.
